General Purpose:

The Production Manager is responsible for many aspects of Electronics operations including scheduling, personnel, and quality control. Provides leadership, coaching, and accountability to ensure that performance metrics are met. Highlights problems and drives continuous improvement activities to decrease costs and increase performance to execute on the operational strategy.

Essential Functions:

· Supervise and lead up to 10 employees including Assemblers, SMT operators, and Shipping and Receiving. Resolves employee conflicts as they arise. Enforces policies contained in the Fleetwood Handbook and the procedures defined in the Quality Manual. Completes annual performance reviews.

· Interviews, hires, coaches, and mentors production employees to maintain appropriate staffing levels and build future bench strength.

· Manages mfg. paperwork and INFOR entries (customer orders, manufacturing orders, work instructions, etc.).

· Generates monthly sales and labor summary reports and creates analysis reports as needed.

· Collaborates with engineering to resolve production/tester issues and establish the proper corrective actions.

· Implements all new engineering designs into production, setting up new part numbers, BOMs, and routings.

· Continually plan for the future and improvement of the department. Investigates new production methods, better quality, cost reduction, space, and employee requirements.

· Manages customer return material authorization (RMAs) and coordinates the repair and return of product.

· Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

· Leadership and/or Management Degree and five to eight years of experience or equivalent.

· Five years of Electronics system manufacturing or comparable business systems experience.

Skills and Abilities:

· Extreme attention to detail.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Experience with production scheduling.

· Excellent personnel interfacing skills.

· Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume, dynamic environment.

Performs set ups, follows written instructions, and reads drawing specifications for multiple types of machinery. 

 Essential Functions:

  • Following Standard Work Instructions, operates multiple types of production machines involving close tolerances, and set-ups of parts of irregular shapes. 
  • Loads sheets of wood and operates machinery such as panel saws, nesters, CNC machines, straight-line edge banders, contour banders and/or OMAL’s.
  • Reads and interprets dimensions and other information from all types of drawings.
  • Completes daily and necessary paperwork.
  • Consistently performs quality checks by utilizing measurement tools and devices such as tape rulers, gauges and/or calipers.
  • Maintains a clean, safe working environment according to 5S and department safety guidelines.

General Purpose:

Oversees day-to-day operations in manufacturing for Assembly department. Responds to technical problems in a timely fashion, determines root cause, and implements temporary and permanent corrective actions.

General Purpose:

Assembles of a wide variety of products and sub-assemblies using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and air tools. Work is performed in a manufacturing setting at a standard rate of work to provide high quality products completed and delivered in a timely manner.

The Shipper/Packer’s main responsibility will be cleaning, inspection, and packing of the components in our KD (Knock Down) department.

  • Verifies that products match customer order quantities and descriptions and makes written and computerized records of packaging and shipping information.
  • Utilizes carpentry skills with hand tools and power tools to fabricate cartons, skids, crates, and other custom packaging.
  • Wraps, protects, bands, seals, glues, nails, and labels products as needed for damage-free shipment.
  • Weighs, stacks, and arranges items being staged for shipment.
  • Coordinates with Assembly, KD Pack, Material Handling, PIC and the Sales/Customer Service departments as needed to meet production and shipping schedules.
  • Drives a forklift to move materials in and out of workstation.
  • Performs all job duties in accordance with safe work practices.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Packing experience desirable but not required
